HOLYPORT W I MONTHLY REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER

Holyport W.I. reconvened on Thursday the 12th of September after the summer break.

This month we had two new visitors attending the meeting, and several members with birthdays. Carole gave out the posies to them.

Jen thanked Pam and Hazel for providing the refreshments.

Our garden party in July raised ¬£105.00. Fifteen of us attended the afternoon tea in Jan P’s house. Jan was thanked for hosting a lovely afternoon.Thanks went to Penny for providing the scones and cakes.

It is thought that the Quiz night planned for October is still undersubscribed and the closing date for this will be the 20th of September, then a decision will be made to cancel or go ahead with it.

In the September Berkshire Newsletter details were issued on how to encourage new members. Pam has kindly put a brief article about us in The Village magazine it is hoped we will encourage new members to join us.

Wendy read out details on our new behavioural policy, each member will get a copy to read and members will take a vote on this next month.

Emily the county Doll is to visit our Institute and several photographs will be taken of her in various locations.

Jen asked for any ideas for this years Christmas Social Meeting.

Carole, Wendy and Penny attended the W.I. 100 years in Berkshire  celebration in Easthampstead Park.

Jen introduced our speaker Alisa Frank with her interesting talk on Hypnotherapy. This had been a insight into the methods used to put people under hypnotherapy and the work Alisa does.

Alisa has sold many of her books around the world and is considered to be a very accomplished hypnotherapist.

Our speaker in October will be Peter Hague his subject” Cliveden”. Our competition next month is for a photograph of “Cliveden” Joe Humm will judge the best photo.
