Our President this month welcomed us all to the November meeting, plus four visitors. Mary distributed birthday posies to all those having a birthday in November. Elaine had brought some plants to the meeting and said anyone who wanted any, to help themselves. Debbie thanked us for collecting toiletries for the hospital packs. Many local W.I.’s had sent us invitations to their Christmas meetings. Some of our members will be attending these events.
Plans for our own Christmas social are on the way. It is hoped we will hold a quiz, a poetry reading, sing Carols and exchange presents for each other. A wrapped present with your name on the outside of the present is required plus a raffle prize. The best wrapped present will be judged as part of our competition.
Diane distributed a jar for all those who wanted to contribute to the British Legion.
Details for the walk in Windsor plus a visit to the local Windsor Brewery afterwards were read out.
A table was present with all the craft work that had been produced at Ann M house. Mary followed with her Craft Workshop. Everyone had great fun making a robin decoration on a fir cone for Christmas.
A request by Wendy could we please save all our stamps for the Thames Valley Hospice appeal. Carole won the flower of the month competition. At the end of the meeting Jen read out a card from Kathy thanking us all for our kind wishes after her recent illness.
The meeting came to a close at 9.45pm.
