Holyport W.I. Monthly Report for December

The Holyport W.I. Christmas meeting in December welcomed Janice Tattersil our W.I advisor, also visitors from Datchet and Maidenhead W.I.’s.

Jen took the meeting and we were all given a glass of wine or fruit juice. Christmas cards were read out from some of our members present or absent. Others had exchanged their cards before the meeting started.

Four members from our Poetry group read out Poems to entertain everyone, then Mary invited us all to join in with some Carolsinging.

We took a break for refreshments and a table top quiz paper was completed by everyone. All members then went table by table to the stage to collect a Christmas present. Janice Tattersil judged the best wrapped present Elaine was pronounced the winner with Diane 2nd and Sarah 3rd. The raffle was drawn and all present received one prize.

Jen thanked Pam for the Christmas table flowers, Hazel for the birthday posies and our individual table flowers. Also the committee for providing the refreshments for the evening. Wendy collected stamps for the Hospice Appeal. Everyone signed a Christmas card for Jean and Anne T who were unable to attend the meeting. Mavis is not renewing her membership next year we all wished her well.
